Beads made of bone is one of the oldest forms of natural beads. The soft texture of bone beads makes it easy for a jeweler to form different shapes of beads.   Tribes used wood beads for spiritual and ritual ceremonies.

I love to design jewelry with bone beads because they are light weight and pair easily with other beads, such as semi-precious stones, wood beads, and glass beads.
